Dantalion (also Dantalian) is the seventy-first spirit of the Goetia and one of the most sought-after demons in modern practice, particularly for his extraordinary mental and psychological powers. Holding the rank of Duke, he commands thirty-six legions of spirits. The 'Lemegeton' provides a striking visual description: Dantalion appears with many faces—all the faces of men and women—and holds a book in his right hand.
