Sitri (also Bitru, Sytry) is the twelfth spirit of the Goetia, holding the rank of Prince and commanding sixty legions. He initially appears with a leopard's head and griffin's wings—the leopard suggesting stealth, sensuality, and predatory allure; the griffin wings combining solar power (eagle) with terrestrial strength (lion). When commanded by the magician, Sitri assumes a very beautiful human form, so attractive that the practitioner must be careful not to become infatuated. Sitri's primary domain is erotic love and sexual desire. He inflames love and lust between people, creates powerful attraction, and can make people appear naked (literally or metaphorically stripped of defenses). The grimoires state he 'shows the faces of women naked if it be desired,' revealing women's true desires and secrets. This makes Sitri particularly sought after for love magic, seduction, revealing hidden attractions, and understanding sexual psychology. He is invoked for matters of passion, sexual empowerment, revealing crushes or secret admirers, and kindling romantic desire.
